We’;d like you to welcome back Greg, one of the Cutting Edge Stencils owners and a creative DIYer.? Greg has really enjoyed making DIY wooden wall art using our stencils.? These projects are fastburlap pillow cover diy, fun, and super easy to complete.? This week he’;s tackling a nursery wall art project using our Owls and Arrows Stencil Kit. For our visual fans, you’;re going to love this stencil tutorial that Greg put together.? In this short video, he shows fans how easy it is to stencil pallet art using the Owls and Arrows Stencil patterns.

Let’;s walk through the steps for completing this project. Greg had an old piece of plywood laying around the office and decided to put it to good use.?He used a saw to cut the plywood and create his wooden canvas (about 35 inches long).

Then he decided to use our Owls and Arrows Stencils, a kit that contains three adorable owl patterns and three arrow shapes.? This rustic, nature inspired kit contains patterns that were uniquely designed but work perfectly together for craft size projects like wall art.

Once he had his wooden canvas and stencils in hand, he was ready to start stenciling! He carefully taped the?Owl Stencil down using blue painter’;s tape.

Greg made sure he rolled off any excess paint on a piece of paper towel.? Too much paint will cause the design to bleed. He painted the nursery pattern with Plaster Paint Simple White using a dense foam roller.

After each design was painted, he would carefully remove the stencil.? Then he would place the next owl pattern on the wood board.

Greg repeated these steps until all three owl designs were painted on the wood. Then he chose to place arrow stencils around the edge and in between the owls.

After it was completed, he stepped back to admire his rustic wall art. Are you ready to see how it all turned out?? Here is Greg’;s reclaimed wood wall art using the Owl and Arrows Stencil patterns.

Tell us, which stencil design would you use on hand-crafted wood wall art? Leave us a comment below, we’;d love to read your thoughts!

Haven’;t had enough stencil fun?

Thanks for reading and happy stenciling!

Hello! I am Ava Gavloski?and I want to show an easy but effective way to dress up a vase or a pot with the simple addition of Canvas Corp’s Burlap Flower Pot Holder Bags.

Chilewich is a brand of chic, minimalist woven polypropylene floor mat that is a staple in design magazines. You’d think the material from which they’re made – woven polypropylene – would be available in off-brands, but we haven’t found any in our searches. (We did, however, find a number of seller’s on Ebay who sell seconds or discontinued styles; Chilewich mats aren’t cheap.) We’ve been thinking of possibly using a Chilewich floor mat for the kitchen whose painted plywood floors take a lot of wear and tear.?So we ordered some samples from Chilewich’s site.

Fair warning: this post is full of not-so-pretty pictures. ?This post is about a project under construction. ?We installed a DIY board and batten treatment in our dining room. ?It was the first project on the path of transformation for the dining room. ?Board and batten was a prominent element in our dining room mood board. ?Here was the extra bland and b-o-r-i-n-g dining room before:
