Place the stencil over the canvas sheet and spray on the Glimmer Mists. Heat dry.

Place the stencil in exactly the same spot and stipple on some Inchworm Chalkboard Mist and Organic Garden Glimmer Glam here and there. Heat dry.

Go in with black archival stamping ink and a text rubber stamp to add more texture. Heat dry.

Add some speckles of Marmalade Glimmer Mist and Soft Black Simply Sheer by using the nozzles’; tubes for sprinkling. Heat dry.

Fold the canvas sheet vertically in half. Using letter stamps add the word “;notes”; somewhere to the right side. This will become the cover of the notebook.

Cut some plain paper sheets to size (slightly smaller than the cover’;s size) and fold these in half as well.

Use a pokey tool to pre-punch holes for the sewn binding. They don’;t need to be precise –; just make sure your holes are placed in the fold.

Thread some jute cord into the upholsterers needle and sew the canvas cover to the signature with simple straight stitches. Leave enough cord on both ends so you can tie the button to one end and use the other for wrapping it around the booklet and keeping it closed.

Make sure you end with your jute cord on the booklet’;s outside so you can thread both ends through the stitches until they meet in the center of the spine.

Tie a double knot. Then tie the button to the shorter end and use the long one to wrap it around the book and the button for closure.

Be honest! This doesn’;t look like a failure at all, does it??
